Playing at Vai Acedemy 2 in Palm Springs

Hehe, here’s a video of me playing with Steve Vai and his band during Vai Academy 2 in Palm Springs. What you don’t see in this video is that I played a riff from one of my songs and the band pretty quickly started adding a beat, bass and backup guitar. Then Steve and I took turn improvising solos. I did my best to play in his style  The stress was out of this world

Sick! I also have a Modern Satin but in the natural finish.

These guitars play great and I don’t need the fancy flame top

What brand guitar is it? If I remember correctly, didn’t you mention liking Kiesel guitars? I have a Carvin that I ordered from them in 1986 that is such an amazing guitar, it’s a beast.

I love Kiesel but this one is a Suhr modern satin, https://www.suhr.com/instruments/modern-satin/. My main guitar now is a Kiesel Osiris with a trem, I might actually do a proper NGD thread

What an awsome experience

Ah so cool! I think the riff was quite complicated and Vai just gave up trying to follow you. Very unique!

Wow, how awesome!
My fingers would have felt like concrete - or rubber. Or both at the same time.
Good job Giorgio!

My fingers were actually rubber at the beginning, I cut the video to hide that :innocent:
